Frenzy upgrade.
Frenzys catch fish, and can be pulled through kelp and bounced off structure
95% of the time without fouling or snagging. They can be trolled or
bounce-balled or cast. I most definitely like frenzys.
However the hooks, while good quality, are very fine-wire freshwater hooks, and the split rings are too light and often askew right from the factory. Also you need to carefully tune these lures by gently bending the eye left or right until they run straight. Check often, and after every fish.
I change the hooks to #6 Mustad saltwater hooks, and upgrade the rings (all three) to heavier wire ones of the same diameter. It takes just minutes and will save you some heart-ache. Take it from someone who knows. I had to learn the hard way, losing several 15-20 pound class halibut and some 10 and 12 pound class Bonito.
The wire-mounts themselves on the lures are non too strong, so you still need to take it easy when fighting the fish, but changing the hooks and rings will give you an edge.

Nine Pound Calico (left) caught on frenzy pictured above. I have caught dozens of Bass and Halibut this year in 55* water during January and February slow-trolling these lures.
